Finally! Coworking Space in Downtown Rock Hill, Part of Knowledge Park

Rock Hill, SC – SVN/Southern Commercial Real Estate, LLC owners Mark Mayfield, CCIM, SEC, CPM,
and Randy Graham announced today that they will be opening Collision Cowork, a coworking space, on
Main Street in downtown Rock Hill on the second floor above the York County Regional Chamber of
Commerce.
Coworking is an increasingly popular model for the working professional who needs space to work but
may only need a desk or a small office with shared amenities. The model appeals to professionals who
want to be part of a vibrant community and privy to the opportunities that arise from a place full of creative
collisions.
“Coworking space is great for our local professionals and businesses,” says Rob Youngblood, President
of the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce. “We’re eager to help make it happen.”
Mayfield and Graham purchased the second floor above the Chamber and are upfitting it to be both their
commercial real estate office and Collision Cowork, which will offer shared space with soft seating, open
work areas, dedicated desks, private offices, spacious meeting rooms, Zipstream Wifi with ethernet
connections, free parking, network printing, kitchen, and even free coffee.
“We have created a fun, cool, and comfortable space in a renovated building with deep history,” says
Mayfield. “Exposed brick walls, original hardwood floors, high ceilings, natural light… it’s a charming
environment for sure.”
Collision Cowork will open in the heart of the vibrant Knowledge Park in Rock Hill’s historic city center,
which means it is only steps away from restaurants, bars, concert venues, apartments, art galleries, a
French bakery, a public library, and more. Plus, it’s only a few blocks away from Fountain Park and its
seasonal and weekly events, such as music and Food Truck Fridays. With hundreds of millions of dollars
being invested (and slated to be invested) by the private sector in Knowledge Park, it was only a matter of
time before a cowork space was opened as part of the equation.
“We see coworking spaces as another key ingredient in the formula of success in developing a vibrant,
creative, working culture in our urban core,” says Stephen Turner, Economic and Urban Development
Director for the City of Rock Hill. “This is what the new economy looks like to a great extent.”
Collision Cowork is set to open the first of March. Two open house events, tentatively scheduled for
February and March are currently being planned to show people the space and create a networking
opportunity among interested parties.
